DONALD TRUMP AND HIS ALLIES ARE ATTACKING SENATOR SCOTT WIENER BECAUSE SCOTT'S PROGRESSIVE VALUES ARE A THREAT TO BIGOTRY AND HATE

Scott came out during college in North Carolina, at a time when the LGBTQ community was facing constant hatred and a deadly pandemic.

Those experiences instilled in him a drive to fight for those who are marginalized and facing attacks: young people coming out, immigrants trying to support their families, women fighting for equal pay, and people of color dealing with systemic racism.

Working to Reimagine A Broken System of Law Enforcement

As Senator, Scott is working to end our system of mass incarceration, make our juries reflective of our diverse populations, decriminalize sex work, and reimagine policing by banning chokeholds, rubber bullets, and stopping bad cops from moving from one police department to another.

Attacked by QAnon, Ted Cruz and Rush Limbaugh for His Work to Break Down Barriers to LGBTQ Equality

Scott’s work to extend to LGBTQ youth the same protections afforded straight youth put Scott in the crosshairs of Trump’s QAnon allies and thousands of right-wing conspiracy theorists who came after him with death threats, and anti-Semitic and homophobic attacks.

As Ted Cruz, Rush Limbaugh and Donald Trump, Jr. joined QAnon in their right-wing homophobic attacks, Scott fought even harder to ensure the same protections for all youth no matter who they are.

As a leader in the LGBTQ community, Scott continues to break down barriers to full equality. His first-in-the-nation legislation expanding access to the essential HIV/AIDS prevention drugs PrEP and PEP is helping to save lives across California.

Attacked by Trump for Fighting to Build More Affordable Housing

As Senator, Scott has fought relentlessly to build more affordable housing for those struggling to afford the high cost of living. In his first term as Senator, Scott’s legislation expediting housing approvals has approved the construction of over 1,600 new affordable homes in
San Francisco alone.

Scott’s tenacity on behalf of working families has earned him the ire of Donald Trump, who desperately fans the flames of bigotry and hate.

Trump's racist op ed in the Wall Street Journal attacks Scott for fighting to legalize affordable housing in single-family-zoned neighborhoods. Trump's "Protecting America's suburbs" is a not-so-subtle dog whistle for racial segregation.

On November 3, vote Democrat Scott Wiener for State Senate. A Relentless Fighter For Our Progressive Values.
