It’s expensive enough to live here when you’re single. When you have a child, it can be absolutely unaffordable.
That’s why I passed first-in-the-nation legislation expanding paid parental leave, to ensure working parents can stay home with a newborn or adopted child without having to sacrifice their paychecks. Because no one should have to choose between special bonding time with a child and paying rent.
In the State Senate, I’ll continue doing the work to create more affordable, livable communities for everyone.
